The village Krapets is located right next to the Black Sea coast, very close to the most southern seaside resorts of Romania – Mamaya and Constants. The area is unpolluted by industrial sources. North of the village is the Durankulak lake /swamp/ - a unique place where many endangered species from Europe are kept. Some spend the winter there, others inhabit it the whole year. A nearby lake Shablenska Tuzla has unique fauna. The area is famous for it’s mineral springs, as well as the healing mud deposits, some of them still undeveloped. There’s a hunting resort in proximity, where man can shoot in different seasons various wild animals. The Karvuna resort complex, which is situated on the sea-shore, is close to the village. The whole area is full of Thracian hills, and on the south you can visit the cape Kaliakra fortress. The region is perfect for ecotourism. Golf courts are built nearby.
